Thinking about joining one of our adventures? Below is everything you need to know to make sure your trip runs smoothly.
Not at all! My goal is to create a safe and supportive space for solo female adventurers who value both the empowerment of going it alone and the warmth of connecting with like-minded women. This journey is all about inspiring you to finally explore those dream destinations on your own terms—without waiting on anyone else. And if you'd love to share the adventure with a friend or two, you're more than welcome to join us!
Not to worry—this isn’t about exclusion! While our trips are designed with a core group of 30-to-40-year-old adventurers in mind, anyone 21 and older is welcome to join the fun. I focus on this age group for a couple of reasons. First, as a 40-year-old woman, I curate the destinations and activities based on what excites me right now, and I plan to evolve these itineraries as we all grow older together.
Second, our adventures include days packed with high-intensity activities (because we can still go hard!) balanced with ample time to recuperate. It’s not a non-stop party—our schedules wrap up early, giving you plenty of time for rest and rejuvenation (though if you feel like exploring the local nightlife, go for it!).
In short, if you're in good shape, love nature adventures, and appreciate a perfect blend of action and downtime, you're more than welcome to join us on this journey.
Absolutely! The adventure starts long before we take off, and it doesn’t end when we get back. From the moment you sign up, we’ll have three fun and meaningful calls to make sure you feel prepared, connected, and supported every step of the way.
📞 Welcome Call – As soon as you sign up or inquire about the trip, we’ll schedule a quick call to get to know each other better, answer any questions you might have, and go over all the trip details.
📞 Pre-Trip Call – Closer to departure, we’ll hop on a zoom meeting where you’ll get to meet your roomie and connect with other adventurers. This is a great chance to break the ice, go over any last-minute details, and get excited together!
📞 Post-Trip Reflection Call – After the trip, we’ll check in to see how you’re feeling, hear about your experience, and reflect on any personal transformations. It’s also a great way to stay connected with the amazing women you traveled with!
Think of these calls as part of the journey—helping you feel at ease, hyped for the trip, and ready to make lifelong connections. I can’t wait to chat with you!
Let’s dive into the details! To secure your spot on this unforgettable group adventure, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required at the time of booking.
Why non-refundable? Once you commit, the planning begins—securing top-notch accommodations, exclusive activities, and all the special touches that make this journey exceptional. The funds go directly to trusted local partners, and unfortunately, they do not offer refunds to me either.
Please note, all payments toward the trip are non-refundable. As a small travel company, each experience is carefully tailored, and last-minute changes can be difficult to accommodate.
Travel insurance is required for all participants. While post-departure/travel medical coverage is essential, I highly recommend opting for trip cancellation coverage for additional peace of mind. It can help you recoup most of your trip costs if you need to cancel for a covered reason.
Pro Tip: Be sure to read the fine print on your travel insurance policy—coverage goes beyond just lost luggage and flight delays; it’s about securing your investment in this special adventure.
Absolutely! I understand that this is an investment, and I want to make the process as smooth and manageable as possible for you.
Here’s how it works:
• Your $500 deposit secures your spot.
• After that, you’ll make monthly payments towards the remaining balance. Trip must be paid off completely by September 7, 2025.
I totally get that life can be unpredictable, but if payments aren’t made on time, we may have to release your spot to others—and we’d really love for you to be a part of this adventure. Staying on top of the schedule will help make sure everything goes as planned.
If you're booking during the final balance due period (September), the full amount of the trip will be due at once.
I work hard to ensure each trip runs smoothly, but occasionally, things happen.
Each trip requires a minimum number of guests to confirm a departure. If we don’t hit that minimum, I’ll let you know as soon as possible. If I have to cancel the trip due to low participation, you’ll receive a full refund of any payments made.
Adventure is all about the unexpected! While I put a lot of thought into every detail, sometimes life throws us a curveball—whether it’s a change in weather, shifting group dynamics, or other surprises that require a little tweak to our plans.
I may need to adjust the itinerary as needed, but you can be sure that any changes are made with your experience and safety at the forefront.
An open mind and an adventurous spirit are key to making the most of this "solo-ish" adventure. Embracing the unexpected and staying flexible are all part of the fun as we explore, connect, and grow together along the way.
That being said, there are some things we simply can’t predict. AdventuRose Travels cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen events such as Mother Nature, strikes, and delays, that might impact the trip.
Yes, our itineraries often include strenuous activities that require good health and a moderate to high level of physical fitness. Hikes, long walking tours, ziplining and other active experiences are part of what makes our journeys so rewarding.
To fully enjoy the trip and keep up with the group, adventurers should be physically active and prepared for these adventures. If you have any concerns about your ability to participate, please consult your doctor before booking.
All adventurers will be required to initial an Acknowledgement of Physical Demands in our waiver. This is for you and your group’s safety.
Puerto Rico is HOT HOT HOT year-round, so think light, breezy summer clothes and comfortable walking shoes! For daytime adventures, keep it casual and comfy, but feel free to dress up a bit for dinner—there's no strict dress code for that. When it comes to our nature-centric activities, you'll need sneakers and workout attire. I recommend packing two pairs of sneakers: one for the ziplining tour and another (waterproof, if possible) for our cave tubing tour. Don't worry—I’ll send you a detailed dress code list for all the tours as the trip gets closer. Oh, and don't forget your swimwear!
We do our best to design menus that accommodate dietary restrictions, but it’s not always possible to meet every need. Please be prepared to supplement your included meals if necessary.
Your registration form includes a section where you can share any dietary restrictions or preferences. Be sure to specify allergies, intolerances, or preferences and their severity so we can be as mindful as possible about cross-contamination.
YES! Many of our activities are centered around exploring the beauty of nature, which means plenty of time spent outdoors. From scenic hikes to beach days and everything in between, embracing the outdoors is part of the experience.
Participants should enjoy spending time outside and be comfortable adapting to various climates, weather conditions, and temperatures in Puerto Rico. A flexible mindset and a love for nature will go a long way in making the most of your adventure!
Our trip prices are based on double occupancy, so you’ll be sharing a room with a fellow adventurer. To make sure you’re paired with the best possible roomie, you’ll fill out a quick questionnaire before the trip, and you’ll even have the chance to meet them via video chat to get acquainted. If you’d prefer your own room, I’ll do my best to arrange it, but please know single rooms come with an additional cost and may not be available at every stop. And hey, sharing a room with a "new friend" is also a fun part of this adventure—it’s how new friendships begin!
Hold off on booking those flights until I give you the green light!
Once the trip is confirmed, I’ll send you all the flight details to get booked. This usually happens about 3 to 4 months before departure!
In the meantime, feel free to set up Google Flights, Skyscanner, and Hopper alerts to start tracking prices. I love a good flight deal too! This is also a great time to start planning and racking up those credit card rewards points, responsibly, as you make the most of your travel budget!
Travelers from other countries visiting Puerto Rico have the same visa and passport requirements that would apply if visiting the mainland United States.
US citizens do not need a passport or visa to travel to Puerto Rico.
For specific visa requirements based on your nationality, visit travel.state.gov for more information.
Good news—no vaccinations are required to visit Puerto Rico! That said, we highly encourage you to keep your COVID vaccines up to date, as your health and safety are our top priorities. As a precaution and for the wellbeing of others, we will kindly ask any adventurer who is feeling under the weather to wear a face mask in enclosed spaces to help keep everyone safe.
Here comes the real talk.
We’re here to create a positive, supportive, and welcoming community of adventurous women. Unfortunately, we’ve all encountered a Mean Girl or a Debbie Downer at some point—and they’re not welcome here.
AdventuRose Travels has a Zero Tolerance Policy for behavior that disrupts the group dynamic. Kindness, mutual support, and a spirit of adventure are at the heart of this experience.
If someone’s behavior is detrimental to the group, we reserve the right to remove them from the trip.
